chance to be heard. However, by a lot of the same songs, the
station is greatly decreasing the opportunities for local
and unsigned artists to get played. The stations could
choose to give an unsigned artist’s song a lot of spins,
but the overbearing control of Clear Channel prevents this
from happening very much. It is important to note that some
artists might not have become popular without the
